Janell Banks has always been a natural goofball and class clown. For her, being funny was a safeguard for breaking down her awkward, black girl barrier on the playground. As a child, if you "came" for her, she was "coming" for you and that’s when it clicked, flipping the narrative so the jokes not on her, make people laugh with her and not at her; Janell had the perfect strategy and thus, the perfect idea for Laughter. Janell is known for the quick wit and humor she brings to the stage. Her ability to come up with jokes off the top of her head and work the audience while working and connecting with them allows for a very hilarious and interactive show.
